June Maddness

All this talk of re-alignment and super conferences is making College football seem more and more like the NFL. It is all about the money. They want us all to forget about tradition and rivalries. I hate it. JMHO

It is going to be crazy! I see it shaking out like this:

Nebraska and Mizzou will join the BIG 10.
Colorado, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St. to the PAC 10.
Kansas, Kansas St., Baylor, and Iowa St. sign with the Mtn. West. (maybe Boise St.)

The next few weeks will be very interesting. I think that the BIG XII is finished.

I'm all for it if it means bye-bye to the NCAA. We need a major shakeup so we can have a football playoff and crown a real champion. College football's postseason is hilarious.

I think it is like this:
Nebraska, Texas and Texas A&M will join the BIG 10.
Colorado and Utah to the PAC 10.
BYU, Boise State, Air Force, Fresno State and UNLV to BIG 12
Oklahoma to SEC

Boise St. to the Mtn. West. I have a feeling that this conference is not done adding teams. I would love to see this conference add Kansas and Kansas St. The Mtn. West is definitely going to make a push to receive an automatic bid. They are definitely a respectable conference.

Sounds like there is a scenario where Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Okl St. could all join the Pac-10. There is also a scenario where Texas would join the SEC. This is going to get real interesting. Whatever happens I hope they kick the NCAA to the curb.

Andrew Mason had a great blog a few weeks ago with ideas about a bunch of 8 team conferences that would maintain traditional rivalries and get rid of these super conferences. I kind of liked it. I'll look for a link.
